Smoked Old Fashioned

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz bourbon

  • 1 oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup (to taste)

  • Orange peel


Instructions:

  1. Add bourbon and Smoke & Sprig Syrup to a mixing glass filled with ice.

  2. Stir until well chilled, about 15–20 seconds.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.

  4. Express an orange peel over the glass to release the oils, then drop it in or rest it on the rim.

  5. Sip, savor, and enjoy that smoky Northwoods flavor.

Campfire Manhattan
 

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz rye whiskey

  • ½ oz sweet vermouth

  • ½ oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup
     

Instructions:

  1. Add the rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and Smoke & Sprig Syrup to a mixing glass filled with ice.

  2. Stir for 20–25 seconds, or until well chilled and silky.

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass.

  4. Garnish with a cherry or a small rosemary sprig (torched for extra campfire vibes).

  5. Enjoy a smooth, smoky twist on a timeless classic.

Smoky Cherry Sour
 

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz whiskey

  • ¾ oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup

  • ¾ oz lemon juice

  • 1 egg white (optional, for a silky foam)
     

Instructions:

  1. Add the whiskey, Smoke & Sprig Syrup, lemon juice, and egg white (if using) to a shaker.

  2. Dry shake (shake without ice) for 10–12 seconds to build foam.

  3. Add ice and shake again for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.

  4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, or into a coupe for a foam-forward presentation.

  5. Garnish with a cherry, lemon twist, or a tiny rosemary sprig.

  6. Sip and enjoy that smoky-sweet, tart balance.

Rosemary & Smoke Mule
 

Ingredients:

  • 1½ oz vodka

  • 1 oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup

  • ½ oz lime juice

  • 4 oz ginger beer

  • Rosemary sprig (optional garnish)
     

Instructions:

  1. Fill a copper mule mug (or a tall glass) with ice.

  2. Pour in the vodka, Smoke & Sprig Syrup, and lime juice.

  3. Stir gently to combine.

  4. Top with the ginger beer and give it one more light stir.

  5. Garnish with a rosemary sprig — torch it lightly for extra smoky aroma, if you’d like.

  6. Sip and enjoy the smoky-bright, herbaceous take on a classic mule.

North Shore Boulevardier
 

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz bourbon

  • 1 oz Campari

  • 1 oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup

  • Orange twist (optional garnish)
     

Instructions:

  1. Add the bourbon, Campari, and Smoke & Sprig Syrup to a mixing glass filled with ice.

  2. Stir for 20–25 seconds until well chilled and smooth.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube, or into a chilled coupe for a spirit-forward serve.

  4. Garnish with an expressed orange twist for a bright pop of citrus.

  5. Enjoy this smoky, herbaceous take on an Italian classic.

Smoked Sprig Mimosa
 

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup

  • 3 oz champagne (or any dry sparkling wine)

  • Optional: 1 oz cranberry juice for color + extra tartness

  • Rosemary sprig or orange twist (optional garnish)
     

Instructions:

  1. Add the Smoke & Sprig Syrup to a champagne flute.

  2. If using cranberry juice, pour it in next.

  3. Slowly top with chilled champagne to avoid excessive bubbling.

  4. Give the drink one gentle swirl to combine — don’t stir aggressively or you’ll lose the bubbles.

  5. Garnish with a rosemary sprig or an orange twist.

  6. Sip and enjoy this smoky, sparkling, Northwoods-style mimosa.

Northern Campfire Mule
 

Ingredients:
• 1½ oz bourbon
• 1 oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup
• 4 oz ginger beer
• Rosemary sprig (for torching)
 

Instructions:

  1. Fill your favorite mule mug or rocks glass with ice — crushed if you’re feeling fancy.

  2. Pour in the bourbon and Smoke & Sprig Syrup.

  3. Top with ginger beer and give it a gentle stir.

Cranberry Smoke Spritz
 

Ingredients:
• 1½ oz gin
• 1 oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup
• 3 oz prosecco
• Splash of soda
• Optional garnish: fresh cranberries or a rosemary sprig
 

Instructions:

  1. Fill a wine glass or spritz glass with ice.

  2. Add the gin and Smoke & Sprig Syrup.

  3. Pour in the prosecco, letting it bubble up like Minnesota gossip after the first snowfall.

  4. Add a splash of soda for that perfect spritz lift.

  5. Give it one gentle stir, garnish if you’d like, and enjoy your smoky-cranberry sparkle.

Smoked Cherry Gin Old Fashioned
 

Ingredients:
• 2 oz gin
• ½ oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup
• Lemon peel
 

Instructions:

  1. Add the gin and Smoke & Sprig Syrup to a mixing glass with ice.

  2. Stir until well chilled — about 20–30 seconds.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube (or whatever ice you didn’t forget to refill).

  4. Express a lemon peel over the top to release those zesty oils, then drop it in or rest it on the rim.

  5. Sip and enjoy a lighter, brighter, smoky take on an old fashioned classic.

Backwoods Manhattan (Brandy Version)
 

Ingredients:
• 2 oz brandy
• ½ oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup
• ½ oz sweet vermouth
• Optional: cherry or orange peel for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Add the brandy, Smoke & Sprig Syrup, and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice.

  2. Stir until well chilled — about 20–30 seconds.

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe or a rocks glass over fresh ice (dealer’s choice).

  4. Garnish with a cherry or a twist of orange peel if you’re feeling fancy.

  5. Sip, savor, and pretend you're tucked away at a Northwoods cabin with nothing but trees, quiet, and a damn good drink.

Smoked Rosemary Whiskey Highball
 

Ingredients:
• 1½ oz whiskey
• 1 oz Smoke & Sprig Syrup
• Club soda (to top)
• Rosemary sprig (for garnish — torch if you want extra drama)

Instructions:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.

  2. Pour in the whiskey and Smoke & Sprig Syrup.

  3. Top with club soda and give it a gentle stir.

  4. Garnish with a rosemary sprig — and if you want that smoky aromatic magic, lightly torch it first.

  5. Sip and enjoy your elevated, outdoorsy highball moment.

Smoked & Sprig Holiday Punch

Ingredients (Serves 8–10):
• 2 cups gin or white rum
• 1 cup Smoke & Sprig Syrup
• 1½ cups cranberry juice
• 1 cup orange juice
• 1 cup ginger beer
• ½ cup lemon juice
• 2 cups club soda or prosecco (add right before serving)
• Orange slices
• Fresh cranberries
• Rosemary sprigs (torch a couple for that smoky holiday aroma)

Instructions:

  1. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the gin or rum, Smoke & Sprig Syrup, cranberry juice, orange juice, and lemon juice. Stir well to blend.

  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour so the flavors meld and the punch gets nice and cold.

  3. Just before serving, pour in the ginger beer and club soda or prosecco for that festive fizz. Stir gently to keep the bubbles alive.

  4. Add orange slices, fresh cranberries, and rosemary sprigs. For full “holiday showstopper” status, lightly torch a rosemary sprig and nestle it on top for smoky fragrance.

  5. Ladle into glasses over ice, garnish, sip, and enjoy your bright, smoky holiday punch.
